On May 24th we were fortunate to be part of a lovely little ceremony on the lake. My dear friend from high school, Jodie, and her husband, Jason, tied the knot on a beautiful sunny afternoon in the presence of their children and immediate family. Jodie told me she decided not to do flowers. So, why was I there? Well...last year I was elected as a Justice of the Peace and Jodie and Jason asked me to officiate their wedding! Of course I wasn't going to let her go through her day without flowers. I knew oriental lilies were Jodie's favorite. Her lush, fragrant bouquet of lilies was accented with hellebores, scabiosa, bleeding heart, and hosta leaves from our gardens. Let the season begin!
